Belgian ales represent the height of the brewers' art, with sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends, and unique flavorings. PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that produces a floral nose, full fruity flavor, and clean finish. Who are those guys? The North Coast Brewing PranQster label is from a Belgian engraving by DeLoose etched in the early 1800s. It depicts the brewing industry movers and shakers of the day enjoying the fruits of their labor. Close examination will reveal that our own Brew master, Mark Ruedrich, has taken his rightful place among them. A Belgian at heart! The Belgian Story: No place on earth equals Belgium for its serious approach to brewing. Its Lambic beers and Abbey Ales are treated with the same reverence accorded wine in other countries. Each is unique. This heritage comes from the flavors provided by the unusual yeast strains that prowl the countryside there. Now North Coast Brewing has managed to acquire some of these antique yeasts, and they're what give PranQster its refreshing, fruity flavors and allows this fine beer to join the ranks of the finest Belgians. you need not drink it in hushed reverence, but know that it's authentic and enjoy every sip.
